Ocala Rocks! Kudos to John Watzke

the Ocala Drive-In was responsible for the entire revenue of the top-grossing film of last weekend: the arthouse horror flick Swallow, bringing in $1,710.

I was just talking about drive-ins last night with a buddy; the only viable way to see theatrical releases right now. I would totally go see something at a drive-in even w/o COVID-19, but especially now. I'm old enough to have fond memories of piling into the family station wagon (yes! I am that old!) and going as a family. When I was older, I'd take my pickup, back into the space, and bring out pillows and blankets to watch from the bed in comfort.

Having an option for a family night with food and snacks sounds a like a nice break right about now...

Well, there you go, kay, sounds like the Ocala Drive-In would be perfect, especially the way it's set up for this situation. I am really impressed with how Watzke planned it all out, with attention to detail.

I would totally go to a drive-in movie now. Not sure I'd do a horror flick...arthouse or not.
