Frank Jacksons' a winner! Greatest mayor of the year. Who was the corrupt jackass in Detroit? Franky ranks right up there with him in my opinion.

Let's blame the problems on the president.

Really, I bet if he weren't black and ran under the republican ballot, everyone would love the same exact policies he put forth.

Honestly, the problem for Ohio is the economic climate is not conducive for business. They don't offer good incentives for companies to locate there and they do little to prevent them from leaving.

Get a grip people, you can't blame one man for the problems inherent in a free globalized market.

...Also keep in mind that those statistics are nothing compared to some places in rural Kentucky and other southern states. No matter the president, the congress, whatever, poverty will increase as we outsource more, import more, and generally let our industry go to the highest bidder.

I don't care if he's purple, green or white I DON't like his policies and it has nothing to do with the color of his skin.

It sucked while GWB was in office for 8 years and it still sucks now because no one person (whether it's Obama, McCain, or whomever) can turn around trade policies that have been in effect for 40+ years in addition to a war that we shouldn't be in to begin with, a war that's bleeding us dry. So what's the "change"? Oh, I remember now. We have a black man in office. Uh, yeah, color DOES matter, and so does the name, and so does the religion. If none of those things mattered, then the tea party would not be in existance.

fyp.

I do agree that Ohio (and Cleveland specifically) needs to be more business friendly. But Obama is not doing anyone any favors.

eta: and Frank Jackson should be embarrassed. 35% of the population in poverty is absurd no matter how you slice it.

Obama has nothing to do with Cleveland's policy though. He does not determine the development packages set forth by the municipalities. He does not allocate tax breaks in the Sun Belt but not Ohio.

Quit blaming the president and call your congressman instead. Call your mayor, your council. Call those that can make a difference on the local level. Take action!
