You mean someone actually proposed such a thing?

And lived to tell about it?

yep, it was a Centerville idea. Apparently "Self-Centered-ville" can't afford the level of services they are providing so they try to do two things to pump-up tax revenue:

a) annex new retail/offic stuff across the county line in Sugarcreek Twp
b) merge with Washington Township.

On a different topic:

I was sort of looking forward to Austin Pike interchange as a good backway into W Twp area, but all that office/industrial stuff they are planning is just going to add more traffic so machts nichts on traffic relief at the I-675 exits.

New interchanges are never intended to ease traffic. And, of course, the commercial interests attracted by the new interchanges rarely pay for them, do they?

Nope, interchanges rarely make sense unless they are built a good ways from the one before or after. And, no, Ohiogirl81, commercial interests have good lawyers to make sure they pay as little as possible...

JefferyT; Yep, I'm embarrased about the Sugarcreek Twp "robbery". And, maybe he's a nice guy otherwise. But the only time I've ever seen Mayor Kingseed in person ws at a Washington Township Trustee meeting and he just struck me as being a shyster lawyer... I became quickly suspect of the "study committee"; Jane Beach, who works in Centerville's Law Office, representing the Twp??? WTF!!!
