Any ideas for a unique and reasonable place to buy a prom dress? Have been to all the regular department stores, was looking for something different. Maybe an upscale consignment shop or possibly a mexican formal wear shop that might offer something more unique. Thanks for any suggestions

My wife has 2 dresses that would be nice prom dresses. They have been worn one time and are in excellent condition. I think she list them on Craigslist and ebay. I will get back with you shortly.

I have no first hand knowledge since I have boys, but there is a place over by Quail Springs Mall on May called Serendipity, or something like that. I've heard of people from Dallas driving up to shop there for prom dresses. (I can't imagine that really, but whatever) I think their whole thing is prom and pageant dresses. Might be expensive, but then again, you never know until you try.

There is also a consignment shop near Quail Springs called Platos Closet although I am not sure they carry prom dresses. It's in the strip center with Hobby Lobby - on the far west end of the center.

I forgot about that place. One of my son's sold a bunch of his stuff there last fall. I think they have about everything.

Do you buy used prom dresses that have been wore once?
