Potential NBA Champion, a massive downtown revitalization, a monstrous and beautiful skyscraper. I don't know of any other city in the US that has changed so drastically for the better in such a short time. Kudos to your fine city!

A couple more newer skyscrapers would really help blend the skyline together. They don't need to be the same height as the dt just more modern than the other buildings. I was reading about the okc street car. Is that done deal?

All this in despite of national recession. It truly is remarkable. When/if the national economy recovers, I expect to see some great things in OKC. The pieces are in place for it to become one of the hot up-and-coming cities of the next decade like Charlotte, Raleigh, Austin, etc was in the 2000s.

Great things are already there! But i agree, many more things are coming for one of the few cities in the US that is boldly moving forward. This must be an exciting time for the residents of OKC.

It really is. It's been exciting to watch the city change. We've been here just a few years, and they changes we've seen just in our time here have been impressive.

Yep, downtown OKC just as dangerous as it's always been. They can throw some paint on it but they can't change it's integrity or character.

Multiple people shot downtown after Oklahoma City Thunder game | NewsOK.com

[LEFT]At least eight people were shot downtown shortly after the Thunder game let out Monday night, police said.
About 11:35 p.m., shots were reportedly fired on Reno Avenue between Mickey Mantle Drive and Joe Carter Avenue, about three blocks east of Chesapeake Energy Arena.
“Preliminary reports indicate that eight people were shot and one person suffered blunt trauma, and that person was a pregnant woman,” Oklahoma City police Capt. Dexter Nelson said.
“Everything is very, very preliminary. We still don’t know the actual number of victims. We believe that one person is critical, and the other injuries are not believed to be life-threatening,” Nelson said.
One person was shot in the back, another in the upper arm and a third in the hand, according to police radio traffic.
The pregnant woman is thought to have been kicked in the melee, Nelson said.
