I started a thread in the General forum regarding your fine city. The gist of it is that I don't believe there is any other major city in the US that has pretty much reinvented itself in such a short time. Please chime in and let me know your thoughts. OkC was never on my radar until recently, and from what i've seen, read, and heard, i'm impressed to say the least

If you haven't guessed, I'm fast becoming a fan of your city. I plan to visit soon and sink some of my hard earned $ into your economy.

I think it started after the Murrah bombing. It was almost like everybody decided if they were going to clean it up and renovate, they might as well do it right.

Also I think United Airlines deciding to put their maintenance base in Indianapolis instead of OKC even though OKC and Oklahoma had a better package than Indy. United said it came down to Indy have a better quality of life than OKC

We lost United after a huge community rah, rah to Indy. Shortly after they got MAPS on the ballot. Then before MAPS really got started we tried for Micron and they went to SLC. I think the bombing just made people more determined to get MAPS done.
