I'm interested in this area but need some advice. What are some good affordable neighborhoods in Oklahoma city?

If you have a family and young kids I would recommend:

Quail Springs,
Edmond (technically not OKC proper but just on border)
Nichols Hills (if you can afford it, beautiful HUGE homes)

Now the following areas are "nice", in OKC terms but I wouldn't necessarily want to raise a family in these unless I could afford private schools (public schools in the inner core and pretty much ghetto):

Mesta Park (beautiful, old neighborhood with huge bungalow homes...nearly 100% restored...very very few ugly places left to be restored)
Edgemere Park (ditto Mesta...homes aren't quite as old but still very nice and quaint...right on a park)
Crown Heights (ditto Edgemere park but more expensive...bigger homes on the whole)
Parts of Western Avenue from NW 35th to NW 50th on the west side of Western...the area is re gentrifying and there are some terrific bargains to be had in the up and coming areas.

Good luck!
