My mom has some mineral rights in Atoka Co and Pittsburgh Co and has been approached by gas/oil companies to sell/lease. We have no idea how to determine the worth. Can anyone out there help?
thanks

I too have inherited mineral rights in Barber Co. and have no idea of their value. Have you received any helpful information?

[SIZE=4][SIZE=4]Good for you. You must understand that mineral rights and gas and oil rights are completely separate.
You may sell your mineral rights and retain your gas and oil rights.
I recommend you hold on to both. Sometimes, shysters try to purchase your mineral rights and also include gas and oil rights – without telling you they are separate.

Default Mineral Rights in Ok

My family has had mineral rites for years. Big compaines will pay you to lease your land and drill on it for minerals gas, oil, ect. They will pay you a percentage of what comes from the well's. We lease ours to companies and we drawl checks from them. This we have found is the best way unless they give you an offer you can't use. Normally they don't want to buy the land just lease it. Hope this helps.
