Any mobile home companies in OK that offer financing?
Hello all,
Our family is in need of some assistance! We are moving from Maine to Oklahoma next month, our house here has not sold and we are in need of a mobile home to put on some land. Does anyone know of any mobile home companies that offer their own financing? We don't have good credit so conventional loans are not an option for us. We're not looking for anything fancy, just something that is livable!
Thank you in advance for any and all help!

What part of OK? How big is your family [how much room will you need]? Do you already own land to put it on?

There are four of us (2 kids), we have a mortgage on the land, and it is located in Prague.
Any ideas?

Here is a laundry list of Companies and Numbers in Oklahoma I would check the ones with websites and start calling the others.
Oklahoma Mobile Home Retailers
Also checked Craigslist... I will DM you with the results.

Do a web search for mobile home dealers in OK. Or look for the classifieds in some of the online OK papers, they also have mobile home dealer websites. I checked into those before I came here, and they all turned out to be too pricey for me.
I also sent you a DM.

I think it was Green Tree that financed land and mobiles. Most any dealer can tell you. Warning, if you buy an old trailer you won't be able to get insurance. It is the one thing yo do need.

Green Tree was bought out by Conseco. Conseco went into bankruptcy in 2002, and Green Tree became Geentree......at least that is the way I understand it.
Before you sign any paperwork with them, read about them: Consumer complaints about Greentree Finance
not very nice folks to deal with

Wow thank you for the warning... Green Tree sounds like a very evil company! And thank you for the comment on the insurance- I didn't think about that.

Foremost is good at providing insurance for older mobiles, the one I had in WA was a 1978 and we didn't have any problems - though we did have to replace the wood stove. If it's an older place, any factory installed things like wood stoves have to meet current codes or no one will insure it. For that matter, you can't get insurance on a house if it has a wood stove that wasn't professionally installed.

Can't add anything to the good advise you already received.
