Does anyone have any information or know of an organized anti-protest against the Westboro Church? I read on their site that they will be protesting at Edwin Woods funeral on Saturday. I would love to stand next to them protesting their words. We need to stand up for our American Soldiers, whether you agree with the war or not. This whole thing of these people carrying signs and harassing families during their loved ones funeral is ridiculous!

Wouldn't it be great to have a band of people standing in front of these jerks to flood them out?? Lets support this family!

Well who knows if they'll be there because 30 minutes after their protest in Omaha they're supposed to be in Columbia, Missouri.

They most likely have already enlisted the help of the Patriot Guard Riders or Legion Riders. The Nebraska Patriot guard is also on Facebook. They don't have "mission" related info on their group page, but you can contact the state captain (who is the group owner) to learn about how you can help.

Patriot Guard Riders of Nebraska | Facebook

There is also a good article on Wikipedia about the Patriot Guard with additional info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot_Guard_Riders

My parents are both members of the Legion Riders, which are associated with the Patriot Guard. Their mission is not to protest the protesters, but rather, to shield the grieving family by escorting funeral processions and physically blocking all protestors from view, and drowning out the sounds of the protestors by revving their motorcycles. This would include blocking out any anti-protestors as well I'm sure...

DO NOT give these people any more attention. Their prime goal is litigation from people attacking them, and the more you protest them the more you give media attention and validity to them. IGNORE THEM.

There is a reason why most of the family are all lawyers. They're parasites and if they're ignored they'll go away.

The "band together to fight them" only works on the battlefield. Otherwise, they get exactly what they want, attention, notoriety, and hate.

I'm guessing the Patriot Guard will be riding with them. They aren't protesters though. It's sad that those folks even got air time on last night's news.

They need to be ignored as much as possible. They exist to litigate against the people who get physical with them. Whether they believe in what they say is irrelevant because their entire purpose is to sue people.

Think of them as internet trolls: best way is to ignore them, but nobody ever does.
