Please look up the weather for yourself. I have seen the heat index up to 115 in Omaha several times and 110 heat index more often than that. This is the feels like temperature-not the straight up temp. But imo feels like is how you will feel. During our 4 years there were 2 tornadic events. One hit by the airforce base and did damage. There will be days were the winds reach 40 miles an hour -so this to me feels like a tornado. I would never call anyone stupid on a forum or say that Nebraska is not for everyone. But this will show you the mentality of some of the people there. The proof is in the responses.

Do your research before answering posts on citi data and calling others stupid. I think you will find many days with the heat index over 110. example- July 20-22 2017, July 16th, 2019

In 2019 Omaha saw a temperature differential of 140to 150 degrees-wind child from -40 to heat index of 115 .Article posted by Wendy Wild, Brock Wilson-July 30th , 2019 -titled-Omaha extremes form -30 windchills to 115 degree eat index map.

There have been many small tornadoes in Omaha area/Nebraska over the years. Just because you have not seen one does not mean they have no occurred. There was one in Bellevue June 20th 2017, also june 12, 2017.

Pretty much anywhere west of the Appalachians and east of the Rockies is going to be dealing with weather extremes (including tornadoes). Omaha's hardly unique in that regard.
