Hahaha - it does seem kind appropriate though, in an ironic sort of way.

See the buffets relates to the fact that: "Omaha residents received a bottom score in fruit and veggie consumption, with only 23 percent eating the recommended five or more servings per day."

But Omaha is a really fit place because... they included access to golf courses.

"Golfers can choose from 9 city-owned courses. Relative to population, that's more than almost anywhere else we surveyed." ya think?

Actually though, after hitting it up once or twice, I probably won't go there more than about once every couple years. My wife & I just don't care to do the big "eat out" thing very often.
filet that is Golden Corral opening at 72nd in front of Great Escape theatre.

OCB is at 76th and dodge near Lowe's and Best Buy and Bag N Save

laser, I think most people in Omaha think tennis is the game mentioned at

Omaha is fit city? What a joke.

Most people I see in Omaha are over-weight

or needs to look to lose a few pounds

(I include myself in that last part cause I am running and jogging every day to get down to 200 pounds. I am currently at 215

BTW< to say Omaha is fit city:

why are several our city council members and out MIA mayor Fahey

look and are over-weight.

I guess they are either part of the majority of the "fit" people of Omaha

or they are the only people in Omaha who arent fit.

Ahhh, okay. Sorry - and thanks for the clarification.

I guess it goes to show you just how serious I REALLY am about buffets.

youre welcome and no problem

I want to see Golden Corral open cause I go there for only my birthday and christmas (not the same day BTW)

and it would be nice if it is open by May 2009 when i turn 29

cause i hate going to the ones in Bellevue

and Council Bluffs (BTW when I went to the one in CB on 12-25-08)

too far away.

BTW I got there to the CB one on 12-25-08 right after a guy drove his car into the place.

that BTW explains why I went to the one in Bellevue on christmas

good GC but it was too busy cause the CB location was closed (for the reason I mentioned just now)

I think Omaha's position on this list is pretty well justified. That being said, I'm a huge fan of Old Country Buffet. I love it there, and my mom says they have the best peach cobbler she's ever had.

Other than that one, I'm not too familiar with any other good ones.
Never been there. My favorite is China Buffett at 114th and Dodge. It's awesome!
