Hi all,

So I live in a condo complex in Irvine. It is very pet friendly and tons of condo owners here have dogs. I live on the second floor and I have two dogs. Being that they are dogs, they like to play and run around.

Well, my downstairs neighbor doesn't like this. She has banged on her ceiling a few times since I moved in. I've never talked to her and as far as I know she hasn't complained to the association.

But I'm really frustrated. I hate feeling like I have to walk on eggshells where I live. I don't like feeling like I have to restrain my dogs when we are indoors.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone else experience this? FYI I am renting this condo from the person who owns this unit, and I believe my downstairs neighbor is also renting.

Also forgot to add a few things - I never let my dogs play past 8:30 p.m. One dog is about 19 lbs and the other is still a puppy at around 8 lbs.

I work during the day so they are crated. I come home every day during lunch and walk them and play with them. I get home at around 5:30. My neighbor seems to keep the same hours as me.

Are the floors in your unit carpeted or hard surface (wood, ceramic tile or...). If hard surfaced you may want to put down some rugs. I live upstairs and have a 25 lb terrier/poodle type dog and haven't heard any complaints from the downstairs dweller in over 3 years.
