Since it seems to be getting really HOT!!! nowadays I was wondering what the average cost for an inground pool would be, I know size really does matter when it comes to price, but maybe just a little estimate on a small-medium sized pool would be great. Also are there any pool contractors on this forum, please help. Also my backyard isn't too big, but I don't know, I do not need no fancy design just plain cement, no jacuzzi, just a nice pool =)

Do they even make plain old 1960s/1970s pools anymore? It seems every pool I've seen built in the past ten years makes the Heart Castle pool look like an inner city YMCA pool.

You might be able to go with a small company or a big one like Swan Pools. I know our builder didn't do pools under 100k, otherwise it wasn't worth him taking the job since so many people put a lot into their pools nowadays. I would guess around 50k, maybe a little more for just a plain pool, but you might have a more difficult time find a reliable builder that will take a small job. Maybe since the economy is slower, they would be interested. Good luck, we used the pool yesterday, the air temp this weekend heated it up to 75 degrees and it felt great.
