Default Southern Oregon and allergies

I've been told that since I have allergies triggered by hay and other grasses, I should probably not move to the Willamette Valley or to Portland. I'm wondering if the same holds true for Southern Oregon. I'm looking at the Grants Pass area specifically.

I'm not allergic to mold or dust, but flying pollen and grasses trigger my asthma. Living in Hawai'i amongst all of the tropical flowers I had no allergic reactions, but their pollen was mainly of the sticky variety.

Does Southern Oregon have a lot of the grasses and flying pollen?
