There are many arguments for and against, so I'll just ask the question.

Edit: votes are public.

Candy - Sugar free gum contains chemicals that cause cancer.

Thanks, that answers the question for me.

Will be looking for the deletion method (for this poll).

Whatever is the biggest and cheapest bag of candy that they have at Costco is what my neighborhood kids get.

Their parents can worry about their nutrition and dental hygene. Not my job.

You read it on an Internet forum, so it must be true.

Other: I just turn my lights out and pretend I'm not home. I don't see many kids trick-or-treating these days anyway. It seems like trunk-or-treating events are more popular, around here.

If you get a lot of kids, buy the huge bags of cheap candy.

I get very few kids so I buy the big bag of tiny chocolate candy bars. Because I don't hand out much candy, I buy what I like to eat myself for the leftovers.

Another option would be to buy a bag of cheap little plastic toys or wax lips. Those glow in the dark necklaces are good.

Teal pumpkin. Something not edible, like spider rings, temporary tattoos, bouncy balls, etc. Cheap on Oriental Trading Company and safe for those with allergies.
