No, it's kind of a running joke...but there are some native Oregonians that feel the state has been over developed and over run by Californians who drove up housing prices, brought in gangs, etc.

This I agree with. Oregonian's don't want to hear "well it was like this in CA." Oregonians are not the most conforming group of folks. Really don't want to be compared to other states and how they do things there. Oregon is quirky sometimes...part of the charm and a source of frustration all in one.
