Universal done an outstanding job.Just as good as Disney would have done.It is definitely not "bubble gum trash" ! Spoken by one who has seen the movies and been at the park.

I gave up on these theme parks. It's just not worth spending so much money.

Passes to your favorite theme parks are a good investment, you get your moneys worth after two visits then the rest are like going for free.

Disney got their pitch in and LOST to Universal,Universal has done a very good job with it and will probably remove the remains of the Lost Continent to expand Potter in the future.I have annual passes to all the theme parks in Florida,Disney,Universal and IOA and a Platinum pass for all 8 Busch/Sea World parks in the USA.People choose to spend money on what they like ,I go to the parks pretty often for a non-local,as much as 10-12 times a year but when I go I stay in pretty good hotels through Hotwire or Priceline for $30-$50,eat at counter service restaurants and generally spend very little.I'm going to see Potter at IOA in 2 weeks and I'll be buying some butterbeer, eat the Three Broomsticks and maybe buy some Potter candy but I won't be spending $30 on a magical piece of wood or a make believe flying broom or a wizards robe, just ain't happening!!

Good luck, I went the other day and it was still a huge crowd. There was a 2 hour wait just to get in the Harry Potter section so we didn't bother going in, it was hot and way to crowded all over the park so we left. I recommend going later on in the day. It closes at 9 or 10. Parking is 3 dollars after 6pm (instead of $14). So I would go at 6, pay 3 dollars to park and spend 3-4 hours in the Wizarding World. Plus it looks a lot cooler at night.

It's only $9.50 if you buy the glass that it comes in, otherwise the cost for a regular cup is $2.99 or $3.99 for the frozen ButterBeer. Please do not quote me on the prices as I have only had it once and I bought the souvernier glass. It is delicous and is the only place in the entire world you can get. It does not contain alcohol but don't knock it until you try it.
