You mentioned Kissimmee, check out the Simpson Ridge apartment complex near the FL Turnpike (Yeehaw Junction). It's quiet, safe and within your price range.

Yep. Horrible area. Plus the apt complex itself has terrible reviews too:

I've looked at a ton of apts lately. I might be able to recommend something. What part of town are you trying to stay in and what size apt are you looking for?

Well i have mainly been trying to find something in Orlando. I really would like a two bedroom, but i've given up hope for my price range. The places i did find have all been in bad areas. A one bedroom is what i am looking for, that is over 700sq ft.

There's good and bad areas on each side of town. The most important thing you need to figure out is which side of town is most convenient to you. Basically you want to stay somewhere that won't require a long drive on I-4 or paying a buttload of tolls every time you shop or go to work.

I recommend you look at a zip code map of the city (you can find one online or in your phone book) and figure out which areas will work for you. Then of course, find some apartment search sites (apartmentguide, rent.com, etc.) and search by zip code.

Btw, if you're interested in East Orlando, the place I'm at now has 1br's starting at $750 (784 sf). Very safe, good amenities and about 15mins from the airport, UCF, and Downtown. PM me for details.
