Hi, I am looking for drop-in daycare that does not require the child to be going there previously full-time or part-time. I am a stay-at-home mom and student currently, so I can look after my 1.5 year old daughter normally, but there are times where my husband and I would like to go out without our daughter instead of just leaving one or the other at home. We are the only family we've got in the area, and it's been really rough having to go out to parties or events without each other (I usually offer to stay home...)

I don't feel comfortable with baby sitters, not just yet anyway, and I've looked into a myriad of other solutions but I like the idea of Drop-In Daycare the best because my daughter thrives on being around lots of people, particularly kids. So please don't just suggest other solutions.

Problem is, I have only found one place (in Melbourne) which is an hour and a half away, and I found a place or 2 that you have to be registered already to receive it for "in case of emergency".

I am just looking for a drop-in daycare, particularly one that is only a drop-in daycare to occasionally leave my daughter there for a couple hours every now and then.

I am in West Orlando, but I'm willing to go to the UCF area, Altamonte Springs, etc. As long as it is no more than 30-45 minutes away, I'm willing to check it out. Thanks for your time.

321 play was awesome for our kids, no contracts or minimum weeks. Dropins were welcome. They are in west melbourne fl. 321-play.com

Like I said, I am in Orlando.

Surprisingly, its been a few years since this post but I found it again because I'm in the exact same situation with my son. With my daughter, I ended up putting her in full time daycare. However, more results are coming up now, though any personal experience would be nice to hear about too.
