ANNERK---I a bit confused on your welfare for the working comment. My apologies if I am misunderstanding you or reading something that isn't there, but is it not true that even w/o EITC some people actually do receive an income tax refund? Also, there are reason's that I am in college pursing higher degrees. ONE of the main reasons is to increase my income. I know that in this economy that may not happen too quickly.

I don't like the idea of my tax dollars funding vacations and theme park visits. If you've got the money for that, perhaps you should stop using Section 8 and free up that voucher for someone who truly needs the assistance and use the vacation money for rent instead.

My apologies once again. I KNOW every time I look at my paycheck the federal government receives a cut before my pay even hits my bank account. I pay taxes to. I may not pay as much as you, but I pay them. And just so you know, the last FOUR years that I have filed my taxes I did NOT receive EITC. You are incorrect in your assumption. I will pray that the LORD continues to BLESS you and that you NEVER have to receive ANY assistance from the government... That includes reimbursement for BUSINESS RELATED EXPENSES that you may claim on your taxes. Further communication with you is now ending.

You can afford a vacation yet you look to many who pay taxes and can't afford a vacation to fund yours rather than giving up your section 8 voucher to someone who actually needs it and paying your own rent.

I'm not sure how you can compare taking business deductions (which are actual out of pocket expenses that simply offset business income) with effectively using taxpayer money to take a vacation.

I just hope my priorities are never that screwed up that I expect other hard working people to pay for my vacation.
