In light of sinkhole in Orlando area (Clermont not far from WDW)...

sinkhole in resort near Disney area - OrlandoSentinel.com

...is it common for folks in Lake/Polk/Osceola/Orange Counties to purchase separate sinkhole policies. I believe sinkhole damage is not covered under normal HO insurance in FLA?

Any ideas on cost of such insurance as a homeowner?

Also, if home is rented, are renters covered by the homeowner's sinkhole policy?

As far as I know, sink hole insurance is not expensive but it is difficult to get.

The only company I could find with a 1K deductible for sinkhole insurance was AAA. I had to switch my cars over to them also to get the sinkhole insurance.

Some policies will cover for sinkholes. It makes the home a total loss and you get your money and move. I know someone that had that very experience. Sadly she is an agent and is trying to sell the land as a lot, which would never work to build on. Hopefully, prospects will do their due diligence.
