Need a little insight. I am interviewing for a position in Daytona Beach. If I end up landing the position, I know I will want to live in Ormond Beach or Port Orange-within 20 minutes of Daytona Beach. I am leaning toward Ormond. I would probably want to live in an apartment for the first year and get an idea of whether I will stay for a long enough time to buy a place. Anyone have a good recommendation for a well-managed apartment complex within a short drive of Daytona Beach? My requirements are quiet and well taken care of. Also good if the apartment is close to a good gym (Gold's is my pick, but I'm flexible about well-equipped facilities), easy access to the beach (doesn't have to be beachside) or on the intracoastal waterway, and close to decent grocery-shopping (Publix or whatever). I am interested in low crime, as I work very odd hours and come and go a lot before the sun comes up. I am an avid scuba diver, so being in FL will be an advantage for me. Any help or insight is appreciated, as I will be making a decision soon. Thanks!
