Hello, I am a disabled female considering a move to the Orlando area. I would like to be close to the Maitland area for indoor dog training classes and also in a walkable neighborhood where I can easily get to a library, stores, park, etc. I need to be close to a specialty vet as well as a holistic vet who does acupuncture and chinese meds.
I can no longer drive, but do not have any accessability issues. Realistically, I will need to use public transport, cabs, or hire a driver because I know I won't be able to walk to all my needs. I would rest easier being really close to vet with 24 hr ER. Would Winter park, downtown Orlando, or Maitland be the best choice? How competitive is it to get a rental in these areas? Which are unsafe areas to avoid? I prefer a single family dwelling but would consider a condo. I do have two well behaved pets, one a service dog. Please contact me if you have knowledge of a good situation. I am a clean, very quiet mature woman who has good rental references.
Thanks

Based on your needs you should look in Winter Park, Downtown or College Park. It's not really about "competitiveness" here, more just price. If you can afford it, you will likely be approved. All 3 of these areas have most of what you are looking for, sans hollistic vet which I do not know of but I am not an animal guy.

^^ I agree with both Winter Park and College Park. For personal safety being disabled in Downtown Orlando wouldn't be the best scenario as in my opinion you'd be constantly concerned about becoming a crime victim. There is a mobile holistic vet here in Central Florida which would be most ideal for you. Holistic Veterinary Care of Central Florida

Thanks for the lead on the vet. Great to have one that makes house calls. Is the 24 hr ER vet in Maitland?
