My wife has been looking for a teaching job since last December. She has a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. and everyone has told her to go online and submit an application. well she does and nothing in return. do you have to know someone on the inside to get a teaching job. this is getting frustrating to me because she is not happy in the job she is in currently. and like anyone knows when the wife isnt happy you are not happy. please any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest calling up schools or better yet going in person, and talk to principals. I know a teacher that was on a way to a conference in Ft. Lauderdale and stopped at a elementary school in Kissimmee to ask for directions and the principal offered to hire him on the spot. I think there are a lot of job openings but the best way to get hired is to hit the pavement and not just apply online or mail in a resume. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

I'd have to say what cmj said would be your best bet. My good friend just got a job teaching 3rd grade a few months ago. She was looking for a month or two but got hired relatively easily.

Try the schools in the Ft. Pierce, Port St. Lucie area. Theya re hiring and building a new elementary school there.
