I live in NYC andWOrk for a Cable company making $21.00 an hour. I would like to change my pace of life as well as seek more affordable housing, maybe even buy a house. I would like to see a job with brighthouse networks, can anyone who does or has worked for brighthouse give me some insight. I was thinking about seeking the carrier relations position as this is very similar to what I do now. How do they pay and benefits? Another option I was thinking about was going to universal techinical institute in orlando and taking classes on becomming a mechanic and maybe seking employment as a mechanic. Can anyone give me some insight?

Most of the BH employees I see are contractors. The guy that fixed my cable used to make great money before the housing bust. He does not do so well now but likes his job.

Guess you haven't looked and didn't watch the Olympics, because WESH 2 has been on Brighthouse since BEFORE the Olympics started . It only took a little while for the companies to sign a contract.

Personally I like Brighthouse and have a combo package with them. We have not had any problems with them except for what turned out to be a bad box. Called and they were here within 2 hours, figured out it was the box and had a new one hooked up in no time.

I love Bright House, never have probs with internet or TV and the prices are right in line with all the other cable companies in the country.

Yeah. I don't have all of these problems that others have with Brighthouse. I haven't had a TV outage in the 7 years I've been a customer, and may have an internet issue perhaps 2-3 times a year. Some of those internet issues were discovered to be the result of a faulty modem. Once that was replaced, it was great!

Brighthouse from a consumer's pov is great.

Do not go to those scam institutions. Motorcycle, cars, mechanics, etc. You'll end up knee deep in debt and your mechanic work will be in the field of car washing.

I haven't worked for Bright House, but they were a client of mine when I was still in advertising. From what I observed, it's a good place to work. Employee morale was high, and didn't see much turnover on the teams I worked with.
