Does anyone know anything about this condo complex?

Units are incredibly inexpensive and look decent, alongside decent schools- is the community bad or HOA bankrupt?

Any info would be appreciated.

They had some significant damage to the buildings and had to spend millions, this a was passed on to the home owners in HOA's and a few years back they were in the $600/ month range. The wood frames are prone to termites. They are large units and cheap last time I checked and showed them.

The area is pretty low crime, and the schools are decent in the area right by Boone.

Thanks for the info. I wish it was easier to find out HOA costs before looking into a unit. I wonder if some MLS are better about that.

The condo associations fees are likely the same regardless of the size of the unit.

Almost all condo HOAs are assessed at a certain rate per sq ft. of the unit.
More living space = more HOA.

Special assessments on occasion will be per-unit though, and that can be tough on smaller units.

Okay. I may be wrong. I just remember looking into some complex (for rentals) and remember seeing signs on the bulletin board areas or on websites showing a flat-rate fee.
