The man mentioned in this article has the same idea, except for the Meadow Woods Station, the transfer point/hub mimicking LYNX/SunRail Central should be at Sand Lake Road. And then if the Orange Blossom Express train ever opens up, the termius should be at Sand Lake Road.
New York transit stop should be model for Orlando
Sounds like a nightmare-style convoluted system, when we already have a direct bus that goes to and from the airport.

Orlando had a chance to install a quality public transit system, and they blew it.

I agree with this, there needs to be much more integration.

I have not even voted on the poll yet, but so far the results are very interesting, not sure where everyone lives on this forum, but im curious if the membership well represents the entire metro or only a few sections of it. I dont know if Lynx-Sunrail would be good match. It seems like it would but the problems of their relationship is interesting.

All it is is a multi-modal transfer station in that area of Orlando to get better public transit. Not just to the airport, but airport, north/south communities (via SunRail) and the I-Drive area (via BRT style system).

Exactly. It makes sense.

Sandlake and Orange is never going to be Jamaica Station.
.. and that's probably a good thing.

Full disclosure--I have done some limited business with LYNX, but this merger wouldn't affect future contracts between us in any way, so I have no horse in that race.
I could understand either way. They could unite or stay separate. Thats why I posed the question. Im neutral on the subject.

It's a very complex situation due to funding and management. It is not as easy as you think.

Annerk? Are you male or female? Im trying to understand this comment about motor coaches and peoples lives (in your words) SUCKING. When you say motor coach are you referring to the automobile? If so what automobile has a coffee bar and wifi built into it? Is it wrong to assumes that most people dont own an automibile with a coffee maker installed? And you made a comment about urine smells, so for understanding what urine smells are you referring? Urine smells on Lynx buses or Sunrail trains? If this is the case I think some form of enforcement needs to be involved, but maybe you can clarify what you actually mean here. I know you against a Lynx-Sunrail merger, but then you brought up motor coaches, urine and people SUCKING in life. Im trying to make sense of it.

Orlando needs something better than Lynx, but the sad thing is they won't build a subway here because city leaders know what it would turn into with the types of people we have here now in the city beautiful:

The Warriors? Orlando doesnt seem to have organized gangs there. I dont think a below ground transit system could work in Central Florida, its way too much water. Im am assuming you feel if Lynx was to grow than Orlando residents would turn in gang members similar to The Warriors? Thats just crazy talk Joey. Unless you know of a tough ghetto that is very near an existing or future Sunrail station.

She is referring to the comparison between Private Coach Buses in SF Bay, vs. Riding Muni/BART/CalTrain.

Search the net for "Google Buses" and you'll see what the hubbub is about.
As for people 'SUCKING' in life, that particular poster is bitter at the world. Though to her credit sensible about government and infrastructure.
