This was so long overdue for this area and North East Polk County in General. I was there that day, and it was so busy that people were waiting by the front door to get the next wave of shopping carts that came in.

I believe after all the retail stores open, phase 2 will be restaurants and a stadium seated movie theatre. Phase 3 will be residential from what I heard.

Exit 55 off of I-4 (Davenport HWY 27), is already getting hairy during rush hour. It will only get a lot worse when this is complete.

I spoke to a new homes salesperson in Auburndale on Sunday. And he told me he sold 3 more new homes the day before and they were all families from Orlando. He said his wife is a salesperson over by the Posner Park area (not sure if it was Davenport or Haines City), but that she had sold 16 homes on Saturday. I don't know if it's true or not, but one thing I do believe is, the Davenport\Haines city area will experience some serious growth in the next 1-3 years. And that will eventually all start trickling over more west along the I-4 corridor towards Lake Alfred, Winter Haven, and Auburndale.
