They already exist. Lockheed is just expanding.

Nope. Average start pay for a biologist was 32k when i lived in Orlando. Avg general biologist alone makes 55k starting in Boston metro, more specific field you could be looking at 65k North of 128.

Ok... You’re telling me they don’t exist? Lockheed is already here, and has been offering these same jobs for years. They are just expanding in the area. Lockheed hires a lot of engineers. This is standard engineer pay. For experienced engineers anyway.
What does a biologist have to do with this post? Let alone Boston?

(A quick google search reveals a Boston biologists salary to be roughly 10% higher than Orlando.)

I'd take $32k in Orlando over $55k in Boston, personally...

You're totally right! I have ranked metro areas, small towns, and retirement areas since 1985. Most people look too much at wages only. You have to look at Buying Power (wages vs. cost of living). In the Buying Power Index (with the national average being 100), Orlando is 119.86 and Boston is 251.81, about a 71% difference in Orlando's favor. The $32k salary in Orlando and $55k salary in Boston shows a 42% difference. The net means you get 29% more for your money, on average, in Orlando than you do in Boston. So, yes, I'll take $32 in Orlando over $55 in Boston any day!
