Can I ask why you have to move by the end of June? Personally, I'd secure employment before I moved. Just a thought.

You should contact them, not just look at their listings.

Good luck!
Thx!

Good luck. Orlando is one of the worse job markets in the country. The area has an influx of people by the thousands every month, and they are all looking for jobs of which there is a limited supply. Unless your a lawyer or a bar owner, you'll be searching for a long long time, and end up taking some crappy job at very low pay. That's the Orlando way. Many years ago I was planning on moving there. I took a month off in February, and came down to job search. It was fruitless. Many places do not even allow you to apply in person, they want you to hand in a resume or go on line. Then listen to the crickets as nothing happens. Not even a courtesy call or post card. I ended up moving there as I had a brother that could put me up. I moved in May and didn't find a job until November. It was a horrible job, and the pay worse than sucked. I was ready to bail and move back home, but met someone and decided to stay. That too was a mistake. I am now 20 years back home and in a great job that pays decently. I can now retire and forget about that part of my life. Don't think you'll just apply at Disney and get something either. Disney is nothing but a meat grinder. You go to their casting center, wait in massive lines for hours to get into a massive room with benches to sit on. You fill out an application and hand it in. Then sit and watch cartoons for endless hours until your escorted to a small room with a phone in it. Eventually the phone will ring, and you will be asked a few questions. After that they thank you and you can leave and go home never to hear from the mouse house again. I loved the area. Lots to do, I made great friends. The weather was great. But if you cannot get decent work its a waste of time.

I disagree with the above post. It all depends on your career field. There are TONS of engineering jobs, for instance. TONS

Engineering is an exception occupying about 1% of the workforce, along with some healthcare professions like Nursing and Tech positions. Otherwise it's been proven time and again that for the typical full-time living wage job in the Orlando area (over $17 an hour), AT LEAST several applicants are trying for it.

Oh I know, trust me. I was just disagreeing with the statement that "there are no jobs" in Orlando. There are a select few fields where jobs are pretty rampant, and it's not all limited to law and bars. As a matter-of-fact, lots of "lawyer" friends of mine actually have a HARD TIME earning a good income. The few who do well do extremely well financially, but the majority are either working as assistants, or working menial jobs for the State Attorney's office.

I guess I have to forgo that desire to move and stay put. I don’t believe I’ll ever find a job in Orlando.
