Short term rentals(nights, weeks, months less than 6 )aren't allowed in a lot of areas. Might want to check Airbnbs and VrBO because you won't be renting for 6 months unless you stay till January. . During the summer they might give you deals by the month and not the night. Oct- November may already be rented to snowbirds this far out, though. Many just rerent the same house etc. every year.

most landlords have a 7 month minimum to prevent the requirement to collect sales tax
