Hey all! So my family is relocating within the next year, hopefully for the last time. This time to the Orlando area. We have three kids (pre-k, grade school, and high school). What would be a good area to look at in a very good school district? I'd like to be close to the grocery stores, restaurants, things to do; as we won't have any family around us (right away) when we move. Thanks!

What’s your budget and what part of town will you be working (if applicable)?

My husband is doing remote work. So any place with a great school district would be fine and the houses no more than 650K.

Orlando has actually hit its quota of remote workers and won't be accepting any more for some time. May I humbly suggest considering California?

Not true, sorry to disappoint you. And we aren't moving to California.

Hi Dorothy, a good area to look into is the 32824 area code east of orange ave down weatherbee and south down boggycreek into the lake nona area. Prices are inching higher and higher though so hurry up and get here. You would be close to plenty of grocery stores and restaurants and different schools to chose from as well.

If you go on redfin.com, you can search by school instead of just city. You really need to visit the different areas though to see where you like as the atmosphere and vibe within Orlando differs a lot. For example, Baldwin Park vs Winter Park vs Oviedo vs Dr. Phillips... big differences.

Oviedo High School
Winter Park High School
Olympia High School
Timber Creek High School
Hagerty High School
Dr. Phillips High School
Windermere High School

I’d add Boone to that list.

Either Orange or Seminole county. There are 3 locals in Seminole and 5 in Orange that you should focus on.

Seminole: Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs, Oviedo

Orange: Winter Park, Waterford Lakes, Lake Nona, Dr. Phillips, Windermere/Winter Garden
