I would think you might need to supply a little more details like budget, area you are looking at, whether your single with family, etc...

If you have money I would rent on the Northside (North of Altamonte), or in the 32789 ZIP of Winter Park, Downtown if you like that atmosphere and nightlife, Thornton Park, Baldwin Park. and College Park, or nicer units in Hunter's Creek, Lee Vista, or Avalon Park. You could also rent a home in a variety of nicer neighborhoods in the area.

If you are on more of a budget I would suggest the 32792 Zip of Winter Park, Altamonte, Conway, or maybe the east side if you do not mind more of a student mix.

The areas I would avoid would be in the Ventura, Azalea Park, and Goldenrod areas, the Ocoee and Lockhart/Rosemont areas, most parts of Metrowest and Millenia, OBT and Oakridge, and Kissimmee for the most part. There are also some worse off apartments in the nicer areas that should also be avoided.

Another thought: Check out Craigs list/Orlando for housing. Also, I found a rental property on www.vrbo.com (http://www.vrbo.com - broken link) web site (while this site is ideal for vacation rentals it's also open to short or long term rental needs. Good luck!!
