Is anyone familiar with realators who advertise to sell your home and if they don't sell it tell guarantee to buy it. I have seen several of these ads in the paper and I am wondering if anyone has any details they can pass onto me. One question I would like to know is if the price you list the home for the same price they guarantee to buy it for?

You agree on a preset price--usually 20-50% below market value if they don't sell your home in a certain time frame. You are locked into that price, even if the market improves.

As I understand it they simply set a floor for the price you will sell your property for, it is up to you whether you want to sell it to them for that price or not.

Keep in mind there is no "standard" for that kind of offer, so make sure to find out the details of the brokerages specific plan. I see a VERY limited use for that kind of offer. Never knew anyone that actually did something like that myself.
