I don't know that neighborhood, so can't comment on that. As long as you bought it to have a vacation property and can afford it without a cent of rental income... If you bought it and expect and need rental income to cover the carrying costs, personally I think you might be quite disappointed. Remember, Realtors don't get paid until a house sells, and have been known to tell people what they want to hear rather than the truth. Your house is not different than thousands of others--and what you consider to be beautiful furnishings might seem tacky or downright ugly to others.
