Orlandoweekly.com: Restaurant Review: (http://www.orlandoweekly.com/dining/review.asp?rid=13075 - broken link)

Thanks for this! Someone mentioned this place to me the other day. Now I can really look......

Now that we're talking about in this area...we take my MIL to the 5 & Diner (just east of Alafaya) every year for her birthday and Mother's Day breakfast.
It's good and she loves it........
Now I have to check out Chubby's.

Wellllllll, if they have you traveling this far, why not a little farther...LOL

Welcome to the Townhouse Restaurant, where Oviedo Meets to Eat!

This place is fantastic!! Privately owned, and our town has free roaming chickens running around (thus some of the menu puns about Oviedo chickens), perhaps you will see them while you dine! LOL!

It's in a charming little old section of Oviedo, and they have GREAT food! The building is BRIGHT yellow and blue, can't miss it! The wait staff is so friendly, we really like it there - it is usually PACKED on Sundays tho after Church hours, so that may not be the best time

Hey Sue! There is also the 5th & Diner on Colonial at Woodbury. We've been several times for breakfast. It's not too bad. They have a 50's theme there with jukeboxes at your table. I recently went to the First Watch on University for lunch, it does look like you'd get a good breakfast there too.

I like Briar Patch in Winter Park. I agree with the recommendation for First Watch as well. I like toojays and Mimi's cafe as well.

As far as chains go, Brio, Cheesecake factory, and Dexter's (local chain) have great brunches. There are also several nice brunches in the attractions area, most located in hotels.

The breakfast club is disgusting. They have no hygiene there at all. I work right near there and have gone plenty of times to know it should be avoided. DO NOT GO.
