What are the nicest places to live in Florida?

Low crime rate, housing, and good for a female living alone.

I really don't mind if it's not near water. I would rather stay in the central or north Florida area, not southern Florida for various reasons. Reading all these threads has turned me off from southern.

This is for future reference, like this won't happen for at least 3 more years, if even that. IF I end up doing this.

I currently live in a very safe area of Michigan but sooner or later I will have to leave my comfort zone, not to mention it's not cheap to live in my area alone. I am looking to move out of state, not necessarily to Florida, I'm just doing research for future reference

Are you going to be working or retiring to Florida? are you set financially or struggling to make ends meet? It will make a difference in answers.
Are you buying or renting?
Do you want 50 + housing and if so mobile home or block home? Or are you looking for a younger community with a lot of night life?

This alone eliminates most places in the peninsula of Florida.

But you have areas such as
Gainesville
Flagler Beach
Lakeland
Jacksonville Beach
Panhandle of Florida
