Because Florida is one of the states with the largest Haitian populations.

They are sending them to south FL because it is closest to Haiti, then from there they are going to where ever there families live, or where ever they are from. a large amount of them are staying in FL but they're also going to other states across the US.

What does this mean? They're given 18 months and then they have to leave? wonder how many would hide? What are they going to live on?

The ones coming here from haiti are US citizens who lived in haiti. the ones who are getting 18 months to be here legally are illegal haitians who already lived here before the earthqueak, who prolly already had jobs. They just aren't forcing them to go back now because they have nothing to go back to right now.

Rewarding criminal behavior. In my opinioin it's a risk they took, ship 'em back.

Rep. Steve King said they should be deported so that they can help in Haiti and was attacked for it. So I do not think they will deport any of the illegal Haitians especially now that they have a social security card.

They are eventaully going come in to the US in droves, just like the Mexicans, Cubans, Islams and the rest of the illegals in this country. This will work out perfect for Obama who will gladly take them in and spend our money on supporting them over us Americans. Then he will probaly win a Huminitarium award, and travel the world lecturing about it for the next three years.
