If you wear flip flops....this takes no explanation!
Here are some ways to get rid of the funky smell.
Place a scented dryer sheet in each of the flip flops overnight. By morning they will smell fresh.
Sprinkle baking soda on the flip flops overnight. Wipe the baking soda off the next morning with a clean cloth and the odor will be gone.
Place the flip flops in an airtight bag with crushed charcoal or kitty litter and leave it for 24 hours. Wipe them off with a clean dry cloth and the smell will be gone.
Wash the flip flops with Oxy Clean or bleach. Read the manufacturer's instructions carefully. Some materials cannot be washed in the washing machine and bleach will fade colors. Allow the flip flops to air dry.
Sprinkle salt all over the soles of the flip flops and allow them to sit for several hours before shaking the salt off. Make sure the flip flops are dry before applying the salt.

They're a buck and a half at Wally's!! Toss 'em!! OK I'll try some of those on my Grand daughters little plastic shoes. I'm forever cleaning them and trying to keep her feet clean. My daughter did just buy a pair for her hub that were 26 bucks on 1/2 price (13.00) I think! I do the Clorox and laundry soap soak in lavatory with the plastic stuff. Thanks Glory!
Good tip. I bought some at Target a couple of months ago and they still are out side cuz of the smell. Will try your tips.
Do we do the kitty litter thing twice as listed...
<picks up her flip flops from Old Navy and takes a big whiff! Hmmm....Nothing>
<walks over and picks up her high$ (on sale) flipps and takes a big whiff.....hmmm still nothing>
Ok I'm done investigating, my don't have a smell! Whats up with that?

Maybe the feet in NC haven't started to sweat yet. In Florida it has been in the 90's....our feet stink.
Stick them in a zip lock with a box of baking soda poured in it!! Think it's Glory's best solution. Kitty litter absorbs moisture not smells...
