I'm in airports more often than usual lately and it amazes me how many women walk out of the stall and go straight to the mirror and start touching their faces, putting makeup on, and playing with their hair. Gross...
I’m with Cunucu Beach,,,,, I wash my hands compulsively ~ don’t even think about it. There simply isn’t anything that I do that washing afterwards isn’t part of the job. I’ll go get a cup of coffee and I have to wash them, and it drives me nuts when I see others who “avoid” it.
I’ve always liked the sign in the restrooms that says “all employees must wash their hands before returning to work.” It should say “all who use this restroom are required to wash their hands before leaving.” Stupid is not caring about your health and that of OTHERS.
After washing my hands and drying them I use a handkerchief to open the door when leaving since I have no idea who used it before and spread something nasty on it.
As a nurse, I was programmed to wash my hands compulsively........I still do it, too.
Not a nurse, but worked in a hospital for over 5 years where "hand-washing" and the proper way to do it (don't touch the handles with your hands when you finish) was drilled in!
So yes, that bothers me. I always feel like yelling after them, "Did ya forget somthing?!!!!!" Kudos to you guys who saw it happen with an restaurant employee and spoke to the manager! I guess it probably won't kill us. I frequently say that if I knew everything that happened in the kitchen where I eat out, I'd probably faint dead away!
This is one of my biggest peeves. Not washing the hands is just plain nasty. When we had pot lucks at work there were several of us that just ate each others food because the rest was highly suspect.
people who dont' wash their hands when they leave the rest room.
Every once in a while you see someone come out of the stall and just walk out. ewww.
Not washing hands has been a big peeve of mine for years. I don't hesitate to say something (or mumble to myself if the individual is bigger than I am).
One other thing I no longer do (and it doesn't make me real popular) is that I no longer eat the birthday cake if the celebrant has blown out (spit on) the candles. Just one of my quirks, I guess.
When we have birthday parties, the candles are not on the cake, but set aside on the table in lovely candlesticks. Am I weird?
