What I mean is: I have a niece, this Christmas she wanted a iphone, you know this is not cheap, and I think she is not suitable for using iphone, I do not want to buy it for her, not because I can not afford, really , And you know she was only 13 years old. I just want to know if it is you, would you buy it?

Merry Christmas!!!

I will not buy it for her, for she is still too young to use a iphone..

Maybe I am being too old fashion, but I do not think a 13 year old needs a phone period.

Paladinking, I do not think you should buy her the phone. That is an extravang gift for such a young girl. I don't think a child that young needs an iphone. If her parents want her to have one, let them buy it for her.

I agree. I think 13 is far too young for an i-phone, plus you feel you cannot afford it. Those are both good enough reasons not to buy it. And if you hear the old "wah, but everyone else has one", don't believe it!! Teenagers always say that.

My answer to "Everyone else has one" is "Tough, you don't need one yet." JMO

I wouldn't do it, let her parents do it if they feel it's appropriate. Heck I don't even have one.

No, I would not buy her an iPhone. Period. End of discussion. It's not your duty to buy her an expensive gift like that.

No way not an iphone, besides at 13 if anything she should have a pre-paid service without texting ability..
