Good morning posters.

I had a phone call yesterday evening about an important delivery that is heading my way next week.

The slot time?

Between 7am and 7pm!

So, my peeve for today is just that- having to hang around for deliveries.

12 hour time slot is unbelieveable, I guess they think that you have nothing to do...

That's one of the nice things about retirement. I don't have to use annual leave to stay home and wait for deliveries.

Hanging around for deliveries within a 12 hour time slot is ridiculous. I have heard that companies use this strategy to show that they meet or exceed "customer service" guidelines. How can they not, when they take all day to get where they are supposed to be going and they decide what an acceptable time frame is?

What about when you wait all day and then late in the evening you get a call saying that due to some excuse they can't come until tomorrow between 8 and 6.

Twelve hours is not the norm- many are two hour slots.

For special reasons this is a one off.

Most are am or pm.

It all depends on the delivery. What's being delivered.

If I call someone from Craigslist to come to my home for a massage, or from one of the other Craigslist categories (erotic services) the anticipation can be quite delicious, and the delivery not so.

Now, if it's waiting for a pizza to be delivered....................

Ha ha have nothing but a smile here....they will probably hit you or arrive just at that special time when you decide to pay homage to the sewer gods and totally mess up that very private moment
