I'll have those 20 degrees please Karla - it's an extremely chilly 50F this evening - unusually cold for this time of year. I have a long-sleeved T-shirt on plus a sweater, plus the spot heater right beside me. Brrrr!

Today's Question(s):

"They" say there is no such thing as a "Dumb or stupid Questions"

Well "they" might change their mind because I have been asked these
Hmmm, I'm sure I have asked some dumb questions in my time, but can't think what they might have been. Also not sure that I'd own up to them even if I could remember them!
Oops - I read the question wrong. But I still can't think of any dumb or stupid questions people have asked me lately!
1.
2.
3.

Extra Credit Question:

Do you prefer:
Red or white wine ?
Red
Cake or cookies ?
Cookies
A summer or winter vacation ?
Definitely summer!
Salad or Dessert ?
Dessert - salad is for rabbits
A screaming child or barking dogs ?
Having had experience with a barking dog recently, I'd go with the screaming child... but ideally neither!

Inquiring Minds Question:

When you log on your computer, which do you do first
Turn on tower ?
Turn on monitor ?
I have a laptop which is connected to an external monitor, keyboard and mouse (can't stand laptop keyboards and mice, and laptop monitor is too small). The monitor stays 'on' 24/7, so I just turn on the laptop.

Bonus Question:

When you shower do you wash your hair:
First ?
or
Last ?
I wash my hair first, then leave the conditioner in while I wash myself. Then rinse off conditioner and body soap.

Just for Fun:

Are you a Jigsaw Puzzle fan ?
I used to be, but haven't done any since my daughter was a kid - not sure I'd have the patience for it now.

Happy Hump Day!

G'mornin! Wow, two days in a row - I must be on a lucky streak. Oh and Karla, it was nice of you to send that hot, steamy weather up here, but I really was happy with the mid 60s; you can have this 80-degree stuff back any time.

Wups, breakfast is ready - back in a bit to finish answering.

Ah, much better. I've ingested an egg, a slice of toast and some melon, so the brain cells are beginning to function. The cup of coffee sitting beside me will augment the process.

Today's Question(s):

"They" say there is no such thing as a "Dumb or stupid Questions"

Well "they" might change their mind because I have been asked these

1. "Would you like to step on the scale?" Really, folks? They ask that at the doctor's office every single time - what the heck do they think I'm going to say?? "Oh, yes, please let me step on your scale so that we can both see how fat I am and then I can have the excitement of looking forward to the scolding my doctor is going to give me!"

2. "Why do I need to check/proofread the article I sent you?" Um, because it's going to be printed in a publication that'll be used by 1,000 people, every single one of whom will make it a point to tell us about every last mistake they find.

3. "I'd really rather have a four-day work schedule, can I cut back to working just Monday to Thursday and still get paid the same?" No explanation needed there.... And no, the person is no longer employed in my department.

Extra Credit Question:

Do you prefer:
Red or white wine?
Depends on what it is accompanying.
Cake or cookies? Oh, cookies every time, if they're homemade. Preferably oatmeal-raisin-walnut.
A summer or winter vacation? You know, I don't care what time of year it is - I'll take a vacation any time I can get it!
Salad or Dessert? Salad, please.
A screaming child or barking dogs? I'd probably choose the screaming child, assuming that he or she is of an age to communicate verbally. At least you can reason with a youngster, although sometimes "reason with" more resembles bribery than negotiation. Barking dogs generally don't shut up no matter what you do.

Inquiring Minds Question:

When you log on your computer, which do you do first
Turn on tower?
Turn on monitor?

Neither, I open the laptop and wake it from sleep mode.

Bonus Question:

When you shower do you wash your hair:
First?
or
Last?

Well, I don't shampoo every day (really long hair, doesn't need daily washing) but when I do shampoo, I do that at the beginning of my shower.

Just for Fun:

Are you a Jigsaw Puzzle fan?
Not really, aside from the monthly jigsaw puzzle of trying to reconcile inventory. If someone else really enjoys them, I'll sit and play to keep them company and chat, but it's not something I'd do otherwise.

Have a couple minutes before I have to start getting ready

Today's Question(s):

"They" say there is no such thing as a "Dumb or stupid Questions"

Well "they" might change their mind because I have been asked these

2. Years ago- Are you the DJ ? No I was just walking by and saw the microphone and the turntables just sitting there and thought it would be fun to try them
3. Same nosy neighbor asked "I saw the for sale sign in your bosses yard is he selling his house" rofl seriously !!! I wanted to say "no I just borrowed the sign and put it here as a joke for him, to bad he is now 5 states away and won't see it"

Extra Credit Question:

Do you prefer:
Red or white wine ? White
Cake or cookies ? yes
A summer or winter vacation ? Winter
Salad or Dessert ? lol salad is a "scary food" dessert please
A screaming child or barking dogs ? Hands down barking dogs.

Inquiring Minds Question:

When you log on your computer, which do you do first
Turn on tower ? this
Turn on monitor ? then this
(hubby is the opposite)

Bonus Question:

When you shower do you wash your hair:
First ?
or
Last ?
lol actually the middle so the conditioner can "work" while I finish

Just for Fun:

Are you a Jigsaw Puzzle fan ? No,not patient enough, hubby is a fan though
