Good morning posters.

I've recently started something in the front yard and thought it wouldn't take too long. However one thing has led to another and I still have quite a bit to do in order to finish the job.

So, this brings me to today's peeve, which refers to any kind of job;

Starting a job and realising it's much bigger than you first thought.

Can't tell you how many times this has happened to me. Mainly, because once I get started, I start thinking about how to improve it and before I know it, it has evolved into a major project.

Trimming trees. I decided to make some major trims to big trees in an effort to get grass to grow. I might save a bunch of money by doing it myself, but it seems to be a life-long project! I borrowed a chipper and started on the branches from last year. Running a chipper is a lot more work that I expected, and I have 4 or 5 times what I've done left to do.

Then I start trimming again. The biggest branches are yet to be done...

At least I'm getting a bunch of nice firewood out of it.

It is ever so pleasant when a big job turns into a "small job" which is rare. Like some of the other posters on the peeve today, I start something and then add on, or modify it, and soon I have developed a major project. I don't know why I do thisGood peeve, Jezer!!
