Good morning peevers and welcome to the weekend.

Yesterday's peeve seemed to touch a raw nerve, and I can understand why. I wonder how you will feel about today's.

I know a bit about economic forces blah blah blah, but it saddens me that so much of our manufacturing base (yours and ours) has moved abroad.

Surely there should be more to a company or organisation than producing things cheaply?

Today's peeve is;

(No Longer) Made In America.

China China China China China China China China China China China China China China China China..................Apparently China is the only country in this world capable of making our high tech gadgetry and our standard garbage stuff..

Everything went to pot globally when we let China into the World Trade Org!! Now everything is cheap but lasts about 9 seconds!

What a turnoff seeing Made in Japan, China, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, etc.

Jezer: Correction. It's Saturday!

I agree with Sax. Lasts about 9 seconds lol.. Quality is so poor w/ most stuff from there! I go into Stein Mart and see things made in Vietnam and the mark up is ridiculous especially when you know these people are working for peanuts!

Which one of these was made in America. My Chevy Impala assembled in Oshawa, Ontario Canada or my Hyundai Sonata assembled in Montgomery, Alabama

....this is why I get a happy feeling when I buy my Vidalia sweet onions that come from Georgia, or some beautiful fruits/veggies from California. I mean, I get thrilled, literally!

Jezer was your clock/calendar made in China, it's only Saturday.

Good peeve, one of my biggest, along with illegals. One problem with this crap 'made in China' problem is American companies outsourcing everything there. The government say they want to create jobs but as long as everything gets outsourced there are no jobs for Americans.
