Good morning peevers and welcome to the longest day of the year.
Mrs J is in the US and Miss J has been up to nearby Stonehenge overnight for the Solstice, so I'm here on my own this morning.
I heard some very bad news about my dog's walking partner and cousin yesterday. She is very unwell. I appreciate that this peeve may not be applicable to all our regulars.
All my pets have lived to a ripe old age. I was devastated by their illnesses and subsequent deaths. When my last pet died, I just decided to go pet free for awhile. Good peeve, Jezer. Those of us who really love our furry friends worry about them as much as our human companions.
Pets are a responsibility, probably as much as a little kid. They need to be fed, sheltered, cared for, and cant tell us where it hurts when they get sick. Too bad they cant invent some sort of device we can just hook up to them and it would give a readout of their health when they appear ill.
Good one!
More than just a peeve......a cause for real sadness.
Exactly Cunucu, and I was conscious of that when I typed it.
The news was very fresh in my mind when I set the POTD.
