How about when changing lanes ? I do.
Have you ever forgotten to turn it off and driven a while with it blinking ? I have done this especially when turning down my street because the turn is less than 45 degrees and it doesn't engage the blinker arm.

It depends on whether or not there are other cars around. If I look in my mirrors and in all directions and there isn't another car in sight? No. Why you ask? Because the clicking sound is so extremely annoying to my ears.

No. The noise is so obnoxious that if it doesn't flip off on it's own I will do it immediately.

Long, long time. The closest one was about 4 miles away and I haven't seen one there since. Some suburbs (and the "big city" next door) have put in cameras, but when I find out where they are I stop driving in that area. Sorry business owners you just lost mine. Same with bike lanes on busy streets. I don't drive on them.
