I was having this conservation yesterday and interestingly I do remember where I was both days.
2000 was a Monday, and I do remember taking a big math test, which I aced , I also seem to recall that years Summer Olympics were about to begin, if they had not already.
The year after (A wednesday), at my school we had a moment of silence around a "memorial tree" which was planted a few days after the attacks. I also remember a lot of people wearing red white and blue clothing as it was deemed "America day". The weather was quite nice, sunny and a nice breeze.

I don't recall. I assume I was at work on those days.
I know exactly where I was on September 11, 1986. It was one of the worst days of my life.
On September 11, 2000, I was "student of the week" in second grade.
On September 11, 2002, in fourth grade, my whole fourth grade class had a day of mourning where we watched on television somebody (I forget who...) giving a speech and saying the names of all of the deaths on 9/11.
On September 11, 2000, I had just returned from vacation and was probably at home all day unpacking and catching up with the mail. On September 11, 2002, I was on jury duty.
No, but I do recall where I was exactly a week before 9/11 -- looking at the World Trade Center buildings from the Circle Line boat that goes around Manhattan. My husband (a Brooklyn native) and I were visiting New York from our Florida home to celebrate a milestone birthday. I thought at that moment that they were pretty ugly buildings, and I went around to the other side of the boat to look at the Statue of Liberty instead.
O yes... driving my bus at the Space Center with VIP's... can't say much more than that..
