The library is closing, so I must go. But I wanted to say something- anything (actually, I've been thinking of starting this idea/thread for a bit)!

Every time I eat toast, I think of this...

I'm waiting for a piece of crumb-less bread!!

What are you waiting for?

^^ Looks like you’ve got a new thread started already. Who isn’t waiting for “crumbs”?

We need to lengthen the hours of the library!

If I could have posted while in the library parking lot, this is what I would have posted...

I'm waiting to...
Spoiler
...find my keys!

Five minutes after this post, I walked out of the library, swinging my arms, happy-go-lucky I was... when my keys flew out of my hand. I watched as they landed on the sidewalk, bounced over the curb- thank goodness they st- before I could think the word (stopped), they landed in the grate!

What?? Ran back to the library- the doors!
They're shut!
Can't even use the phone (who would I call!?!!)
My cell! Besides not knowing who would be available, I only have 5 minutes (for jobs to call!)!

What is a girl to do?

I called the police.
They came.
They fished.
They handed me keys.

I have never been so GRATEful in my life!

Moral of my story. Keep your keys safe until you get to your car! And carry your extra set!

P.S... I'm at the university library. Could not go home to an empty apt yet!

Losing the keys like that sounds like a Todd moment. Glad you got your keys back ok. I keep an extra car key in my wallet just in case I do something stupid like locking them in the car.

How about this one, its very cold and snow on the ground, I go out to a box store to get something that evening. I open the hatch with the key and it breaks off in the lock. I can't get the part that broke off out of the lock. I call my mom and she won't come out and bring me a spare key, so I have to take a cab back to the house. Then she also won't drive me back out there, so another cab ride back to get the car. It was a real fun night.

You need a pet, WF. Would they let you have a rabbit at your apartment? Those lop ear rabbits are cute and supposedly they can be taught to go in a litter box.

------------------------
I'm waiting for life to begin again rather than just existing. I'm pretty tired of waiting too.

I've locked my keys in the car too many times to count anymore...now I have them on a ring that hooks onto my purse...when I turn off the engine and remove the key I immediately hook it on the purse...and I make sure the purse is in my hand when I get out of the van, before I hit the electronic lock and close the door...I've only got one key for this vehicle and another one will cost a good chunk of change to order from the car manufacturer...so I am very careful with this one...
